LOUISA V. ANTHONY is a renowned EMMY ® AWARD-WINNING international hair stylist whose celebrated career as a professional artist, consultant, instructor, and entrepreneur has spanned more than 20 years. Her expertise as a professional hair stylist has garnered many career highlights including four MAKE-UP ARTIST & HAIR STYLIST GUILD AWARDS for her hair styling on Genius: Aretha, Coming 2 America, Guardians of the Galaxy, and HBO’s Carnivàle, the series for which Ms. Anthony achieved her Emmy ® award win.
Most recently, her work in hair styling has been featured on the silver screen in Bullet Train, The Woman King, Coming 2 America, Captain Marvel, Live By Night, Captain America: Civil War, Selma, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Her work has also been featured on daytime dramas The Young and The Restless, The Bold and The Beautiful, and on the hit television shows The First Lady, Genius: Aretha, Cold Case, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Extant. Before Ms. Anthony’s hair styling career began, she successfully attended the School of Visual Arts, the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Robert Fiance Hair Design Institute, and the Vidal Sassoon Hair Academy.
Since 2002, Ms. Anthony has owned and operated her wig business – Louisa Anthony Hair Goods, Inc. – for film and television productions. Ms. Anthony’s mediums in hair styling include film, television, and print and she has been a proud member of Local 706 IATSE (The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) for more than 20 years and is also a member of Local 798 IATSE.
